Dosage/frequency

I'm 34 years old and had blood work done a few weeks back, my test levels came back at 154. Doctor called me saying these readings were low and put me on 500mg Test E every 3 weeks. Is this dosage/frequency normal? I felt great the first week and a half, but now going into week three I feel run down.

Normal dosage is 100-200mg per week. You're at 167mg per week.

What isn't normal is to inject only once every three weeks. Typically, you don't want to go any longer than one injection every 7 days. Many guys prefer to inject twice a week (every 3.5 days). Many like every 5 days.

Injecting once every three weeks is going to put you on a HUGE roller coaster and you are going to have MAJOR estradiol problems. I hope he put you on an aromatase inhibitor too.

I would encourage you to do a lot of reading of old posts and the Stickies on the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) forum. You can learn a lot from the experiences everyone else has had. Then come back and keep asking more questions after you have had a chance to read up on TRT.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the doctor didn't prescribe an Aromatase inhibitor (AI). What type of estradiol problems?

What type of estradiol problems?

Your estradiol is going to shoot up really high as the testosterone converts (aromatises) to estradiol (a bad form of estrogen). This will make you feel pretty crappy -- tired, bloated, and riddled with acne. It can ultimately result in gynecomastia which is the growth of breast tissue if left untreated too long. You will likely be dealing with all this if you don't manage your estradiol. You really need to inject more frequently which helps reduce aromatisation and get an AI.
