some ppl say to divide up the amount of yolks vs whites.. but i was talking to someone and they said that the yolk is the most important part. and that u should alwayts eat the whole egg??

When you lose the yolk you lose about half the protein in the egg and are left with about 3g protein, maybe 4g if its a XL egg. There is alot of fat in the yolk but most of it is the good kind so if you can tolerate the calories then keep the yolk. I am a big fan of using the whole egg. I only eat them for breakfast which is where I want a higher calorie meal with lots of protien and some good fats. Keep it unless im cutting is my rule and then I'l still throw a couple yolks in there. Poor chicken gave his life for you, the least you can do is eat the whole thing :)

it completely depends on your macronutrional needs. If you need a lot of fat/calories in a meal then eat the yolks, if you just want the protein, or will be getting the fat from another source, then just eat the white. There is no cut and dry answer to "should i eat the yolk or not".

I eat eggs twice a day. I have 1 yolk (plus a lot of whites) with breakfast for the cholesterol, and have a big bowl of oatmeal. Towards the end of the day I switch to no carbs besides veggies and any tag-along carbs (mainly from cottage cheese, which isnt much) and have another serving of eggs with 4 or 5 yolks.
