Eggs and mayo

I'm trying to build some muscle, and burn some fat.

I see a lot of guys eat egg whites and oatmeal quite often.

Does it matter that much how I cook the eggs, or are raw egg whites what everyone's adding to a bowl of oatmeal??? (yuck)

Can I get the same benefits if I just fry whole eggs in butter, or maybe olive oil?

Another question, is about how to prepare a can of tuna.

I love to throw in a lot of mayo, and always add sweet relish, to my tuna, and usually some hard boiled eggs, tomato, onions and lettuce and eat it on bread. But I've been told to cut out the mayo.

Seems like that would make it really dry...

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated-

I put mozzarella cheese and hot sauce on my eggs and make them scrambled. I have 8 whites and 2 whole eggs every morning. I put splenda and blueberries on my oatmeal. My tuna I put on a salad with balsamic vinaigrette.

What was said about.

It doesn't matter if you eat raw or cooked. Its just preference. Easy to crack and swallow a couple eggs, then having to cook them up. Wash the outside of the egg first though. and make sure they are fresher eggs. Because as eggs get older there are micro-scopic holes in the shells that get bigger as the egg gets older, allowing salmonila in. And for the tuna? I just eat it plain. just don't drain as much joice and it wont be as dry. And i try to stay away from canned tuna and eat fresh or frozen fish.

Now that sounds good- But wow, you go through 10 eggs every morning?

I really miss blueberries... I'll be finding some as soon as I get back to the States-

Sorry about the dumb questions, but I just HAVE to ask...

What do you do with the egg yolks that you don't eat? Just throw them away?
And what is the point of throwing away the yellow? Is it just so you will have space in your stomach for the extra whites, or too much cholesterol maybe?

ewww you nasty mofo!

U can get egg whites in a carton. Yolks contain high amounts of cholesterol, that's why people limit the amount they consume in a day. Btw, I would never consume raw eggs... Rocky.. lol

I just ate 3 egg whites, and 2 whole eggs scrambled, with hot sauce. Pretty damn good-

I also had a bowl of oats, with lots of peanut butter and a dash of honey-

You wont be able to do both at the same time, either you will be anabolic or catabolic.

The method of cooking the egg isnt going to make a big difference. If you add butter or olive oil, just make sure you are adding the calories/macros to what you had that day.

If it fits into your calories and macros, there's not problem with it. Yes, mayo is one of the fattier condiments, but if it fits reasonably into your diet, then go for it.

I was under the impression, that if I develop more muscle, the extra muscle would burn more fat. Or in other words, turn the fat into muscle.

I don't know anything at all about calories and macros...

I've never tried to count calories.

I was just planning to try to eat more healthy food by getting ideas on here about good stuff to eat, cut out most of the junk food and exercise more.

Caloric decific = catabolic, caloric surplus = anabolic.
But since you're on test you will make much leaner gains with a higher caloric surplus. I would for sure calculate how much you need to eat and your macros should be somewhat like 1g protein per pound of lean body mass, fat .5g per pound of lean body mass, and fill the rest with mostly carbs but extra fat and protein is okay too. iifym.com/tdee-calculator/ < You could get a good idea from this of how many calories/day you should be eating. And you are right about having more muscle burning fat, but it doesnt burn the fat while you are still growing bigger.

Definitely start counting though, gotta make sure you're getting enough food to grow big and have a decent diet or when you come off you'll lose muscle due to shit diet.

Thanks Danman-

I'm going to take your advice, and try to figure out the numbers.

So I guess what I need to do is try an anabolic diet to bulk up for a few months. Then after I build some muscle, cut my calories to catabolic and use the added muscle to burn fat.

I have a diet app loaded on my tablet, but not sure how to set it up. Since I'm blasting Test-E maybe I should set it up to gain first... If I set it to gain 1 pound a week, it says I need 3430 calories.

iifym calculator says I burn about 3500 calories...

Kinda hard to estimate how many minutes I spend doing stuff each day. My days differ a lot, but I tried to gesstimate an average, and plan for my increased cardio plans.
