First, I want to thank all the guys who have replied and helped me along so far. I'm "all in" now so I thought I would start my own thread instead of hijacking a lot of other threads. I hope no one minds.
Last March, I made an appointment with the doctor who conducted my work physical. We did some labs and he eventually put me on testosterone therapy. I was 38 at the time and really did not have any obvious symptoms other than weight. I work 56 hours a week at my full time job and I also run a small business. I am pretty active and I am completely addicted to the cardio mma gym I belong to. I can't say I was depressed, sad, run down, or anything like that. I am overweight though. At the time, I simply chalked that up to my bad eating habits. I was over 300 lbs. That's fat but I am extremely active and do work out quite a bit. Again, other than the weight, I had no serious complaints. I did not feel run down or blue. I did have to use ED meds yet I could easily do "two a day" gym sessions.
At the time, I was not interested in injections so I went with Testim. I went from around 215 to just over 300 the next time I did labs. He then switched me over to injections.
I have been on a weekly 200 mg injection since the first of the year. I understand doing two injections a week is better but I have not gotten comfortable doing it myself. There is a clinic right next to my house that will do it for me once a week at no charge.
Since then, I went to a new center in town focusing on anti aging. This wasn't covered by my insurance and was somewhat pricey. Another set of labs was performed. At the end of February, my testosterone was at 724. I initially thought 200 mgs was too large of a dose but it looks like that may be what is right for me.
While pricey, this center did a lot more tests than my regular doctor. My estradiol was 56.1. I was prescribed Anastrozole 1 mg twice a week. I was also prescribed HCG at 0.5 ml three times a week.
So while pricey, this clinic did the blood work and tests that I wanted. I am fairly confident I can take these labs back to my original doc so that he can prescribe me refills when I need them. The month to month fees at the anti aging center are somewhat high as well.
So here is where I am at.
Weight 325 lbs
Testosterone at last lab 724
Estradiol 56.1
This is what I meant by "all in."
Weekly Test Injection of 200 mg
Twice Weekly Anastrozole 1 mg
Three time week HCG .5 ml
DHEA 50 mg 2 caps daily
What do you guys think about this? Way over the top? Too much? Just right? I read, research, and do my homework but opinions very so much. Is this safe? Moderate risk? Any and all opinions are very much appreciated.
