Experiencing hairloss during and after cycle - opinions

So I've recently just finished a cycle of pro chem test 400 (containing enan, dec, and cyp esters), my last jab was 18 days ago and I'm planning on starting post cycle therapy (pct) in 3 days time, the cycle length was 10 weeks.

About 5/6 weeks into the cycle I noticed one side of my temple was thinning/receding, 2/3 weeks later I noticed the other side thinning/receding. I thought nothing of it and finished up the cycle under the illusion that the hairloss would probably stop once test levels were back to normal, 18 days after my last jab and I'm shedding more than ever and within the last few days it's slowly becoming noticeable just by looking at my hair, no one has commented on it yet so maybe I'm being slightly paranoid on that part.

I'm a bit lost on what to do, I know that considering the long esters I took my test levels (and therefore DHT levels) will still be way over normal at the moment and so I was thinking of waiting for a few more weeks (potentially until after post cycle therapy (pct)) and assessing the situation then, if I'm still shedding at that point then I'd probably jump on the propecia/rogaine etc..

Or would you advise I be proactive right now and do something about it?

I really never expected this, no one in my family experienced MPB to any large degree and I thought it was all genetics.

I've heard some people say that hair can grow back after cycle but then others say when it's gone it's gone?

Cheers.

im not sure how long it would take the dec to get cleared out of your system to allow for the propecia to work without any continual hairloss.

Yeah, that's why I'm a bit unsure whether or not I should wait for my test levels to revert to normal levels and then see if hairloss continues, genetically speaking I shouldn't even be losing hair, so confusing.

This is actually killing my confidence/motivation to do anything at the moment, it just seems to be getting worse and worse even though tomorrow it's 20 days since my last jab, I can't believe how thin the hair is getting at my left temple now, it's crazy.

My cycle was only 500mg p/w ffs and looking at my family history no one is bald, my dad has a decent head of hair at 56, my grandad on my mums side is 93 and has a good head of hair for his age and my grandad on my dads side had a good head of hair before he died. I honestly thought I would've been fine, I've ordered some propecia online but that might take a while to come.

I wish I was one of those people that could rock bald well but I would honestly look like a complete and utter cunt.

from what i've read propecia or anything else similar does not help prevent receeding around the temple areas.

stress could be a big factor for you OR its just a hormonal loss. imbalance in your body so you'll shed but eventually get it back

According to PCT calculators my test levels should be at a normal-ish range now, still shedding as much as before though.

Next few weeks will be key I think, if I still keep losing hair then I don't think it will stop, I've got some propecia coming anyway but that's about 2 weeks away from getting here.

AI's prevent hairloss?

YES.. High estrogen is a direct cause of hair loss. There is a study that suggests that it is not high test levels that Promote hair loss, but the test converting to estrogen and the estrogen being the culprit.
No AI= bitch tits, water retention, high blood pressure, hair loss and a sore pussy.

I never knew that, well hopefully after post cycle therapy (pct) my estrogen levels will be relatively back to normal, still shedding pretty badly, this sucks lol.

Just an update, still shedding hair at the same rate.

What I don't understand is that I didn't start shedding until I came off the cycle, roughly two weeks after my last jab. I thought if you were gonna lose hair it would happen on cycle?

The weird thing is the hairs I'm shedding are mostly all a normal size, none of them look miniaturised and are a consistent thickness all the way through, I was reading online that if it's MPB the hairs you lose are normally short miniaturised hairs.

Anyway, I'm going to ride this out for a bit longer yet, I should have some propecia arriving within the next few days, if the hair is still shedding at the end of this month I think it'll be time to jump on it.

Shedding has basically stopped now, I'm not sure what the normal amount of hair to lose is after showering + combing my hair but I only lose about 10 now compared to easily 40+ before.

I know people probably don't care but I want to make a point of updating this every few weeks or so until my hair returns to normal, I did so much research on steroids and hair loss when this started happening to me and basically every thread someone started on the topic they would never update so I never knew if their hair recovered or not lol.

I can also see/feel regrowth along my hairline which is good. Hoping by the end of next month or so my hair will resemble what it did before.

Cheers.

So I can feel my hair coming back now when I rub my scalp, like little spiky hairs that aren't very long right now.

I wish I knew about Telogen Effluvium before this whole thing started, I've spent basically as much as I did on my cycle on trying to keep/regrow my hair because I thought this was male pattern baldness.

It wasn't until I read the symptoms of Telogen Effluvium online that I realised I fit the description:

- A stressful event normally starts TE, things such as hormonal changes (like steroids, childbirth etc..), crash diets, surgery etc..

- Hair loss starts roughly 3 months after the stressful even started/occurred, my cycle started on November 21st and hair shedding started on February 15th.

- Hairs lost aren't thinner than normal hairs (miniaturised)

- Hair loss is diffuse, not just at the hairline and crown, it is normally more concentrated on the top of the scalp though.

The only reason I'm putting this is because I think the whole steroids community (including myself) is pretty misguided towards the whole hair loss thing, everyone just assumes it's MPB, says shave your head and what's lost is never coming back, that's true for the most part with MPB but not TE.

There's so many stories across the internet where people say their hairs grows back a few months post cycle, I would be willing to bet close to half, if not more of all steroid related hairloss we hear about online is from TE and not aggreivated MPB.

Anyways,I'll probably update once more in May sometime, hopefully my hair will keep improving.

I use regenepure and a pirocotone olamine shampoo switching eod between the two and my shedding has stopped completely. I don't trust rogaine unless you wanna use it forever but i have never tried propecia.
