What is the big difference between running (cardio) on a empty stumuch and first eat and run (cardio) 45 min later?
Do you start burning fat immeditially on a empty stumach?
 
there are no carbs in your system to burn for energy so the body resorts to burning fat but this only works for a while then it switches over to survival mode and burns muscle . so dont think you can run 3 hours in the am on a empty stomach lol .
 
Good question, I have heard the same advice before about working out early without anything in your stomach. Thanks for the info DADAWG.

I run 45 min at a heartbeat of 140. Is it necessary to run on a hartbeat for fat burning on a empty stumach?

meeting a certain heartbeat level may increase fatburning in the long run but 4 miles walking burning burns calories calories just like 4 miles running , the running probablly burns a few more but the walking probablly is easier on lean mass loss .
