Fairly new to TRT, a few lasting symptoms.

Hi about 12 months ago I started to read about the symptoms of low testosterone, and seeing as I'd had an operation on my balls (vericocele) I thought there might be a correlation between my depression/labido problems and weight gain and my testosterone levels. Anyway I got tested by my gp I came back at 14 on a scale of 12-30 and he prescribed me some patches. A month later, I was starting to see good results but I was in a different state I tried to have my patches re prescribed but was referred to an endochronologist who took me off them (horrible time) and had me retested. I came back at 11 and 10 on the same scale but he said this was 'normal'. Anyway my options at this point were to go back on anti-ds or seek out some other help. I found an anti aging doctor in my area and payed through the ass to be seen by him. He put me on 10% test cream, which made me feel increasingly good for a week or so but then slowly I went back to no boners and feeling anxious with really sweaty palms, I later found out I was double the normal dose and my estrogen was at 300 (not sure what scale) but high. I halved the ammount and felt better, like 50% better, but still have sweaty hands and relatively poor sex drive (no morning erections) but I am much better than when I started. My estrogen is now at 100. Anyway I just don't feel that good, I feel better but not where I thought I'd be. On the patches I had this drive and this spark, and I would just be turned on all the time by girls and boners were frequent. The patches were 25mg and were delivered to match your normal hormone levels (high morning, gets lower as day goes on). I'm on 50mg now, and it's a straight line all day at about 590 all day. I'm thinking my test to estrogen ratio is still off but my doctor won't entertain the idea of arimase inhibitors and just put me on dhea for some reason because he thinks my cortisol is low. My question is this. Do creams have a higher armisation then shots? Is it possible that the estrogen is causing my sweaty palms? Because sweaty palms are the worst. People shake hands a lot. I am seeing another endo at the end of november, but if an arimase inhibitor might work I can get one through other means. Thanks a lot.

You can get Aromatase inhibitor (AI) from Research chemical companies. What does your exercise plan look like? Some of your symptoms seem anxiety related. testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) with a good exercise program could help alleviate that.

I train 3 nights a week at the gym strongman 5x5 + play soccer train 2hrs 2x a week and two games on the weekend. Muscles are still always sore I might try getting an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) to try out I am in aus though. Diet is 90% paleo apx 2000 calories a day. Have lost weight everywhere but gut and boobs which hints to estrogen also...

Hey Bud the best thing you can do is find a doc that knows what the fuck they are doing. I have read & researched about Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) for over a year and a half now & patches & creams suck ass. Also they tend to convert to estro more so than shots. Your estro is still high at 100. That needs to come down. You should consult the sponsor here. I dont think it costs anything to send in your initial paper work & they will get you on the right track.

Unfortunately there are no gps and most of the specialists are those anti aging doctors which is what i see ATM. My guy is good as far as anti aging doctors go but terrible compared to some of the us stuff I have read about. I am going to see my gp soon and hopefully he can help but he is scared of all this. I just can't afford to see this guy regularly enough to get the treatment working effectively. He is 170 for half an hour. I live in Melbourne Australia. The classification for low t is 8 ng/dl 230 in the other units. I sit at 10. I'm 23. Life has improved dramatically on test but sick of low sex drive and still struggle to lose weight even with an intense regime.

You def want your E down. That might be causing your low libido problem. Like the other member said get an AI! Also you may want to look into making sure you're not eating foods that help raise E levels. Also make sure you're not drinking too much alcohol as that may also help increase your E levels over time.

Yeah I might look at getting an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) through other means... I only drink occasionally and I eat a clean diet. Mainly meat and veg no sugar flour soy or legumes. My gp might give me one but I doubt it!

Some gp's are unaware of ai's in testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) but are willing to research and work with you, otherwise it'll be out of pocket.
