Fat lost on a cycle - does it stay off post cycle?

Hi there,
a question often asked is whether lean muscle gains can be retained post cycle.
The answer one often gets is if you do a proper PCT and eat properly etc, you'll be able to maintain at least some of your gains.
However what about fat loss? Assuming diet it spot on etc, where the only variable it the hormonal difference.
Does the body default to it's previous composition post-cycle once the hormones revert to their normal balance?
5% fat lost on cycle is gained over time post-cycle?
Let's say some lean mass was gained - if properly nurtured why would it be lost post cycle (contributing to a fat % gain) ?

Additionally, is it the same for any substance, ie anabolic steroids vs HGH vs SARMS

Thanks in advance.

You're making it way too complicated. In short, as long as your diet is in check, your gains or losses (respectively) will be kept. There are however, other variable that come into play such as how far over genetic potential you are, how long it takes to bounce back to normal levels, in this case how low of BF % you got to, etc.

Thanks for your reply.
I sure do hope it's that simple, especially in the case of someone far from his maximum genetic potential ...
