finasteride question

i thought i read this somewhere but, not sure if i misunderstood. i thought i saw somebody say something like finasteride only works while you're on it, and when you're off that you would lose the hair you would have lost in the first place. so basically it sounds like, if you go on cycle and start taking finasteride to prevent hair loss, and then you finish your cycle and then if you stop finasteride you would lose the hair you would have lost on cycle just like if you hadn't taken finasteride. is that correct? or did i misunderstand? if not, then that means you have to continue taking finasteride for as long as you want to keep your hair? whether you're on cycle or off?

The cycle sides (I'm not going into DHT talk here) enhance your hair's shedding. Finasteride prevents this from happening. Once you're off cycle the hair you lost will most likely thicken up and come back anyhow and you can stop the Finasteride. If you're naturally going bald, man up and shave your head. It's called life - enjoy it! I shave mine all the time but sometimes I let it grow. I have a hairline like Will Arnett!

Finasteride prevents testosterone from turning into dht. Excess dht is what causes hair loss. Hair loss can also occur if some one is sensitive to normal levels of dht. You will not lose all the hair at once. Male pattern baldness is a long process in which hair grows back smaller and finer until it stops growing completely. It can take many years to go bald.

A lot of steroids can cause telogen effluvium. If your worried about hair loss you should learn the difference between MPB and TE (telogen effluvium). If it seems like all your hair is falling out at once, thats TE. Don't freak out and start putting rogaine on your head if that happens.

If your going bald you are going bald, no need to try to hold onto it.

I agree.

Been using it for 7+ years ED at 1.25mg. I stopped a few months ago after reading some horrific reports about fin causing PERMANENT sexual side effects. FUCK THAT!! I have a full head of hair and kept every strand since I started using it....but I would much rather go bald than be walking around with a limp dick all day. I am waiting for further studies and reviews to surface before I go near the stuff again. Again, 7+ years and I've had no problems....but why roll the dice. Let's see what the FDA has to say come next month.

I started to notice some hair loss about 7 years back....been using it ED since then. Thus far, I have only kept what I had. I did not gain more. I'm sure it works differently for some folks.

okay funny, but I thinned out during my last cycle, now after post cycle therapy (pct), its restarted to thicken. No shit, seriously.

Victor how bad was your hairloss? I am 43 still have decent scalp LOL but receding at temples a bit after two years on test. Could be age too.

get yourself some Nizoral shampoo ! no prescription and it kills the build up of DHT in the scalp! use it every third day. On-line only, they pulled it from the stores

Bro... you'll want to PM Cashout... he is a plethora of knowledge on the subject of finesteride.

I used Propecia for a year and it had an affect on my libido. It was hard to keep an erection and even get in the mood at all. Now I just shave my head. Been off it for years.
