First Cycle and TRT?

So, about two months ago I had blood work done for an unrelated condition and found out that I had low test levels (168) and low vit D. The doctor started me on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) of 200mg of Test Cyp once every other week.

I've been working out for about two years now, but before I started testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), I was not putting on weight even though I was dedicated to my diet and taking in 1.5x my bw in protein. I was basically stuck at 160.

Since starting testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), I've put on five pounds and leaned out a lot. I'm still eating clean and going to the gym four times a week, but am lifting much heavier.

I've decided that I want run my first cycle at 400mg test only every week, but I have a few questions:

1) I know 200mg every other week is a low dosage (basically 100mg a week), but I don't know if I would be running into any problems with prolonged usage. So, should I stop the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for a period before starting the cycle or is it too little to matter?

2) I figure since I get 200mg every other week at the doctor's office. I can do 200mg twice a week with every other week having an injection at the doctor. I plan on matching the type of Test, do I need to worry about running from the same source though? If so, should I just tell the doctor I'm taking a few months off and run the entire cycle from the same source?

3) Finally, after I'm done with the cycle, should I continue the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) or should I take a certain amount of time off? Again, I don't want any issues with prolonged usage, but I don't know if 200 mg every other week is really something to be worried about.

I have a few more weeks to think about it. I have to get another round of blood work done early to mid August. I figured I'd start soon after I received the results. This would be my first chance to see my levels now that I'm on TRT.

Don't do anything until your final round of blood work. Ideally try and get your doc to let you inject yourself.

IMO, if he will let you inject yourself (Most Drs will let testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) guys inject themselves) then just run one brand and sand bag your script for future use. If your doc will not let you inject at home you can take his 200 every two weeks and add 200 or 250mg shot 3.5 days later (example: his shot Thursday afternoon you give yourself another shot Monday morning). The week you don't go to the doctor give yourself a shot on the day of the week the doctor gives it and another 3.5 days later.

IMO, it will not make a noticeable diffrance if he is giving you a 200mg Watson Test C shot and you are giving yourself a 250mg Pinnacle shot.

When you are done with your cycle simply return to your regular test injections. No special PCT required.

Here is some advice from a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) guy:

Try your best to get the doc to let you inject at home. Tell him your job has you working grave yard shift... Whatever. When they have you come into the office for injections its to easy for them to request blood work.

Get some Adex and have it on hand just in case you need it. When I went on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) I got backne and started carring water weight. It took me weeks to sell my doctor on Adex. The fact that your dr is giving you 200mg every 2 weeks tells me he is following the PCP cookie cutter protocol.

If he does give you a script and lets you inject at home. Reschedual your followup blood work before you leave. He will want you back in six months. Test is a class 3 drug and they have to see you before you can reup your script. The reason for rescheduling is next.

Stop you cycle and return to you testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) protocol no later than 1 month before your follow up vist. For me this is about the amount of time it takes my body to get completely back to testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) levels. My dr runs complete blood work (including liver (I blast with orals), cholesterol, thyroid etc).

Let me know if you have any questions and remember try and self inject at home!

Good luck
