I am a long time lurker and have seen lots of good information here most of you guys seem to know your stuff. I took the last shot of my cycle about 3 wks ago and what a cycle it was, (my 2nd overall cycle). I got a lot out of this one. I made tremendous gains in the gym. I made it mainly a bulking cycle as I ate everything in sight, ( nutritional food not junk) and I put on about 25- 30 lbs. The last week and a half though I seemed to eat a lot more junk food than I needed to, so I feel like I put a little too much fat on. My question is can anybody reccomend a way to drop this fat without compromising the muscle gains that I have made. I know I will lose a little if I drop weight but I do not want to lose anymore than I have to. While on I was doing light cardio twice a week, but am thinking now I will bump it back up to 5 - 45 min sessions a week and keep going to the gym as I am now, 4 times a week, and cut my carbs to the bare minimum. Thanks in advance for any help and advice. My stats are as follows. 33 yrs old, 6'9, 285lbs, 15% bodyfat. If you guys need any other info from me let me know. I would like to get down to under 10% BF, I think this is a realistic goal do you?

It's certainly realistic, but the question is how much time will it take and how much muscle will you lose getting there. My advice is to wait until your hpta recovers, whenever that may be, and then try to maintain your newfound muscle for about 4-6 weeks before cutting calories or anything.

This way your body should get the chance to become used to the new muscle and will not try to shed it as soon as you cut calories.

Cutting carbs is fine. As far as cardio, if you can do hiit cardio, you'll get 10x more benefit out of it than regular cardio.

Thanks

Thanks TX for the response. I am with you I do not expect to see results over night it will take time if I do it right. If I do it quick I am afraid I will lose everything I have just gained (which would suck). Your advice is sound and I appreciate the reponse. Also what did you mean at the end of your answer about the cardio to get 10x the benefit. Thanks man!
