First Post, on HRT Testosterone Cypionate

I am 27 years old. I have been on axiron or androgel for the last two years and just changed over to Testosterone Cypionate 200mg/ml.

Doctor has prescribed me to 200mg every 2 weeks. Around day 7 I started to feel pretty crappy and on day 9 couldn't take it anymore and went with another dose. Should I ask the Dr. to go with 200mg every week? Should I just see how a feel for a few weeks? Please advise.

You probably should have posted this in the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) forum as that's really where this belongs. But since I like to play in both forums, I can tell you that pinning EVERY TWO WEEKS is asinine. Split it to 100mg a week or 50mg every three and a half days (4 if you're not picky). I would do this first, then see how you start to feel. Keep in mind, with cypionate you won't feel the real effects for a good month. I know there's a HUGE placebo effect at play here (I felt it too as I'm on TRT) which is also going to mess with you a little.

I'm willing to bet that your doc is going to have you at this dose for 4-6 weeks and want another blood test to see where you're at. Be sure to ask for Estradiol which is just as important if not more important than your test levels as it is a very potent form of estrogen that climbs as your testosterone levels climb - giving some nasty side effects. Keep it going though, you'll feel better pretty soon once you get dialed in. ;)

My .02c :)

You should try injecting 100mg every 7 days. That will help get you off the roller coaster ride. Many guys (like me) even prefer every 3.5 days, in which case you would want to inject 50mg. More frequent doses often helps manage your estradiol too. Are you taking an AI? How does your estradiol look?

After 4-6 weeks get a blood test to see how your Total Test, estradiol, and hematocrit are looking.

You may want to move this post over to the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) forum where you will get more feedback.

Welcome to the board, man. What were your test levels for your doc to prescribe testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) aka HRT?

My initial level two years ago was 180. I felt like I was going to die and I couldn't even get a hard on if I tried. My girlfriend thought I was cheating on her. It was terrible all around.

On axiron and androgel my levels would go way up to over 1800 and the Dr would lower my dosage, then would go way down to 250-350. Now I am on the testosterone cypionate. Im on day 7 of 14 now and am feeling pretty bad. The first few days I feel like a million bucks.
