First TRT Self Injection
& Anastrozole Q
Hi Guys,
New on the board here (24, Experienced lifter), but have been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) 1 x Shot/week for over 6 months now.
Have previously been getting a friend (Nurse) to do my injections for me. Well today was the day I finally went solo and chose to self pin.
Was a bit nervous...even though I've been injecting HcG no probs for a while now...I got a hold of some 23G tips to replace the 20G tips that come with my Test E. Watched a couple of "how to" vids and gave it a crack. It was easy! No pain whatsoever!
Just had to let you guys know, and I'll be posting a lot more on this forum as my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) journey evolves.
Am definitely keen on doing some cycles in the future and believe this is THE forum to be acquiring all relevant information in regards to this topic.
Seems there is some real experts who post here.
Quick question for anyone that cares to offer assistance.
Had my bloods done a few weeks ago and Test levels were great, above average...though E2 levels not so good
Testosterone 30.6 nmo/L (8.0-29.0)
SHBG 24 nmo/L (15-45)
Free Androgen Index 128 (35-93)
Free Testosterone 785.3 nmo/L (198-619)
and E2.....
Oestradiol 154 pmo/L (40-160)
My doc was like "yep in normal range that's fine"....
I was like "You're not serious are you?" at which point I brought up the idea of Anastrozole....which would seem like the thing to do as majority of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) patients use the Test/Anastrozole/HcG synergistic combo.
He was very against it, more because of the fact he was worried about investigation by the Med Board for scripting out drugs like this, however he is a hormone specialist.....ahhh doesn't that mean his job is to script out drugs which correct hormonal imablance?
I've given him a bunch of literature in the hopes he comes around at my next appointment in 2 weeks, it worked well for me in getting scripted HcG.
However in case he doesn't come round I ordered some Liquidex from Ar-r so I can get on top of those high Oestradiol levels myself....
Anyone have any thoughts....?
Any literature I may be able to use to persuade my doc about the safety, long term use or efficacy of Aromatase inhibitor (AI) in regards to TRT?
My doc primarily treats andropausal men and hence his lack of knowledge about HcG and AI's/SERMS....Heck he didn't even know about HcG until I brought him a bunch of literature....
It's soooo frustrating grr
Thanks for listening to my essay guys.
