flask/beaker not accurate.. just a reminder for the beginners

i have ordered beakers/flasks from several different sources and none of the numbers on them are very accurate... just a reminder so you dont just fill to the 50ml mark on ur beaker and think ur okay.. make sure to mark manually filling X amount with the syringe in the beaker/flask you use.. urs may be right just letting you know my 50ml mark was over 5ml off
 
It is beyond me why a beaker company doesn't come out with 'beakers with accurate measure labels'.
 
Some end up being accurate, most arent even close. Its a basic gaussian distorbution of accuracy. In theory, the beakers are "mostly" accuarate over a large enough production volume.

Kinda like a broken watch is correct twice a day, while a watch that is 1 second fast is never right. Think about it....


Anyways buy the expensive sharpies that are truly permanent - the ones for laboratory use that withstand chemicals, solvents, heat etc. - Use them to mark your true metered volumes.
