For those who have "cheat meals"

yeah man, if shes cooking, why not get another meal in! Id eat it!

if you want to gain though, you should AT LEAST get 6 meals in...peace!

Sweet man. Even though you cut you still need to eat 6 or 7 smaller meals just clean it up a lot. make sure they are very high in protein. I normally eat most of my carbs in the mornings and after workouts.
 
Just had an off meal...it was pimpin. I still did my once every 10 day deal, but even though i am cutting you all still think i should hit up an off meal once a week or more?
 
My favorite cheat meal is a BBQ feast! Ribs, pulled pork, chicken, etc. I try to stay away from the carbs when I cheat....just meat and fat!

My bad man, kinda got off topic. Um i just had one...i usually get like a value meal or something - Cheeseburger and Fries. Try to keep it at or under 1000 cals. since im cutting. And as high protein as possible. But yeah thats what a "cheat meal" is for this guy.

2 to 3 cheats a WEEK seems excessive especially if you are trying to cut. You are defeating the purpose imo. One cheat meal per week is a good target. Hell sometimes I don't even take it. I have come to love the taste of salmon, chicken, grilled meats, veggies steamed, sweet potato, etc.
 
im keto atm so i get to carb up aka cheat meal once a week :D its the best i love it :D

but when i am not on keto i cheat meal 2 times a week mondays and thursdays :D

yeah thats how i feel...for cutting. Im probably going to stick to once every 10 days or once every week. Thanks for the other opinions tho fellas.
 
while bulking I love to hit up the dollar menu at mcdonalds and eat the double cheese burgers.

And oh yeah I love to grab a pizza.

Come to think of it , if it has protein it is fair game
 
yea me too even when i cheat i try to keep it clean when cutting just on cheat days will eat alot more carbs but from rice potatoes oatmeal etc no crap. and i do this two times a week on wed and sat works for me

Bro you aren't doing bad at all. The oatmeal dish that you describe I eat every morning minus the milk, PB and raisins. I use muscle milk cookies and cream or the banana and usually 3 more eggwhites.

As far as the sushi restaurant goes, yeah cooked terriyaki steak is probably not a great choice but it's really not too bad of a choice for a cheat meal. The rest of the sushi menu is good except for that spicy mayo they use.
When I go to the sushi place they make everything to order and I ask them to use brown rice. They are happy to do it. tastes even better than white rice. somehow they make their brown rice as sticky as the white rice.

Micky D's? Yeah that's cheating. You sound like you have your diet locked in though. Eye on the prize, right?

Here's a recipe for steak that tastes so good you don't need a cheat.

Buy a nice flank steak. Rub it down with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and olive oil (just enough to wet the outside). Let it marinate at least 6 to 8 hours. Overnight would even be better.

Get the grill real hot (I like charcoal grills for flavor) and toss the steak on it. Let it sear in on one side for 5 to 7 minutes then flip. Do the same on the other side for another 5 minutes. Turn your gas grill down to medium and close the lid. If using charcoal raise the grill and move steak to edges and then close lid. let cook another 8 to 10 minutes and remove.

Take that puppy inside, throw it on a cutting board and slice against the grain into strips. A good flank should not be cooked more than medium with a pink and red center. Throw it on a plate with some steamed zuchini or asparagus and sweet potato. Want to make it a cheat meal? Pour a glass of cab or have a nice ale alongside it. Flip on the ballgame and enjoy.

McDonalds can't hold a candle to that
