fractional plates

why would i 2 1/2 plates do just fine... when using plates for bench squat dead and curls etc.. i like to go up by 5 pounds not 1 lb or 1/2 lkb ya know... theydbe good if you could attach them to dumbells

I wanted something like that- guys can go up 5lbs no problem, but for me and the smaller amount i'm benching, 5lbs can be a lot when i'm going for more reps.
I went to a sporting goods store and got wrist weights. they are adjustable- inside them are tiny little metal rods that when filled, make the whole thing weigh 2lbs.
If i want to add 2, i wrap one around the middle of the bar, or i'll remove half the rods and put one on each end.

That's a good idea sugar, or you know those round collars with the bolt you twist on it to lock on the bar? You could add a few of those to each side. The ones I hvae feel pretty heavy duty, probably about 10 ounces eaach at least. There's always ways around things.

they dont have them at my gym and i didn't want to supply them- the wrist/ankle weights i can use again.
