gaining for sports w cardio too? how?

So I was told that I need to gain about 20lbs of muscle for rugby but also need to get my heart in shape and my stamina and endurance up w cardio and sprints. how the fuck do i do this?
 
what kind of diet setup would I use for this, as practices start in Feb and I need to be up to par endurance and stamina wise by then
 
you start doing endurance based training. along with speed drills.
how much do you weigh? what is your fat percentage?

if you are not very light and weak i think you would gain more by increasing your cardio. to be able to outrun your opponents in the end of a match is more important then weighing a certain weight.
