gaining no strength on cycle? first cycle help

im doing 500mg a week of test c. tomorrow will start my sixth week and i have seen no strength gains other then the real slow increase i would get naturally. help me figure out why this is? its my first cycle, so i dont know what to expect, but i expected strength gains by week 4 or 5. im eating a 1,000 calories a day over maintence, clean&natural foods, 1.5 grams of protein per pound body weight, and im gaining weight, so far 10-11lbs. im sleeping 8 hours a night. my workout has not changed, back/biceps, rest, chest/tris, legs, back/ biceps and so on. i had total test checked and results should be in any day now, but im pretty sure its working by the side effects, bloating, acne, sex drive. its from a reliable source also. any suggestions?
 
Are you sure you are eating that amount of calories.

recount calories, check your macros.

post your workout routine
 
ya i track every single calorie in my fitness pal app. my workout is back/biceps- lat pulldown, bent over rows, weighted pull ups, curls, hammer curls. chest/tris- bench press, incline bench, shoulder press, arnold press, tricep ext., skull crushers. legs- legpress, leg curl, leg ext. have knee problems right now so leg workout is a little limited. everyworkout i do 5-12 reps til failure
 
lets just say alot of newbies think you can look like arnold off a cycle....

Hell if you've gained 10 lbs of muscle, I don't see the problem. If its like 5 lbs of muscle, 5 lbs of fat then I can understand
 
Just keep training hard. Train harder than u did last week. Your gear can't be bunk with that weight gain I wouldn't think. Just push yourself harder. And let us know what the bloodwork says when u get it
 
I think maybeeee possiblyyyy you might be expecting too much? Week 6 is when i KNEW my stuff was kicking, (i had Pinn, so no real doubts.).
For me it wasnt so much Strength gains as in my max being 355, and then week 6 its 405. My strength gains were basically all repetition based.

I could hit 275 6 times before juice need ing a spot on my last rep. My cycle is now over and i can get it clean for 8-10 reps. But i train for strength not size anyhow.

Good luck bro, just stick it out. Try carb loading 45 minutes before your workout too.
 
From what I have read, you are on the good road. Just take care of your diet, health, lifestyle and you'll be just fine. Good luck.
