Gear before reaching genetic potential

Hi all,

INTRODUCTION:

I've been training for a few years but mainly martial arts like boxing, muay thai, mma. I used to lift weight before I started martial arts for 2 years (but very bad diet -> little progress).
A year and half ago I focused on lifting because of many injuries from martial arts (mostly minor but uncomfortable), I started to be kind of bored of all those bruises, broken nose all the time etc. I train only once a week now and don't compete.
Now I can say I have a good diet now and keep training hard in the gym. I am still able to grow naturally and haven't definintely reached my genetic potential. I guess I'm about 60-max70% of my genetic potential.

Age:26
Weight:175-180lbs
Training: Weightlifting 3 times a week + once a week martial arts
BF: 15% (after bulking period, usually 7-10%)
Body type: mostly ectomorphic but not fully, have to strictly follow diet and regeneration in order to make significant progress in gaining weight. But I am not a true ectomorph, more likely from 50 or 60%

QUESTION:
Is there any con in using gear if you haven't reached your genetic potential (as for mass as well as strength)??

I think I could gain some mass and strength and after the cycle keep not all but majority of it. Reaching the genetic potential and then jumpig to gear makes no sense for me. I don't wanna cycle for the rest of my life just to look good and then fizzle out like a fucking baloon because my body can't maintain that big amount of mass (because all the mass I gained is above my natural genetic potential)

Thanks guys

It pretty much just says your lazy. But you should have a good build before you go so your body is used to the weight. You don't understand that when your not at your genetic high and you don't have a good build you could lose alot. People think they take a pin and boom theyre huge. Nah not that easy. If you have a good build then your golden. If not you should at least get close to it.

Word!

Remember bro the success of a cycle can't be judge by your size when you are on cycle. You rate the success based on your progress after post cycle therapy (pct). If you starting pinning early you will lose a lot of your gains after PCT.

I'm not a lazy ass as you might think, I'm just doing my research. A friend of mine offered to do a cycle for me and gave me some dream-like idea that roids are just some positives. Therefore I wanted to know what it's all about.

I've spent a few months researching but now I think I'll make it a cold case for a while until I get very close to my natural maximum. I think that at this point risk of e.g. tendon injury is very high if not 100% due to fast strength increase. I must be physically ready for it. I get it...

But... Using it at the time when you've reached your genetic potential seems a little bit pointless to me unless you aren a pro BB...
You won't keep close to nothing after the cycle unless you cycle like a mad man 3 times a year, right?

Thanks for all your posts guys, I'll wait with it until I'm ready and educate myself in the meanwhile...
