Glass media bottle cap from Research Supply

Has anyone purchased these to cap their glass bottles after using a bottle top filter? do they come sterile and sealed or do they need to be sterilized? If they need to be sterilized, what is the best way to do it?

No, they do not come sterilized.
You just take you a bowl of Isopropyl Alcohol and dunk them down in it and then let em' dry. Now they are sterile.
Just like rubbing the top of your vial at the stopper before you go to pin. Same thing.

i would think that the hybex or other glass media bottle had always came with the lids..
anyways.. jstarks is correct.. i just like to also wash with soap first to get all the dirt or dust off them too.. another way you can steralize stuff too is after a wash and iso alc you can(if it can handle the temp...) bake at 225F... hope this helps...
