good substitute for bent BB rows

this is my current back routine:

Reverse Grip Pulldowns - 3x10
Deadlifts - 5x5
Bent BB Rows - 3x10
One Arm DB Rows - 3x10
Seated High Rows - 3x10

everything else is great but damn BB rows suck....

.....but i do them anyway.

I don't like bent over rows very much either, however they are very effective and so I keep with it. But try using dumbells instead and see if you like that any more...That's how I do em.

I prefer the dumbbells over barbell by a lot on this exercise.

bean, do you do them one arm at a time leaning forward on a flat bench? or without?

I do them one at a time with the flat bench.

make them your last movement. doing them after deads could be the culprit. also wear a belt on these.
YEah, i can't do them directly after deads, i do deads than some sort of pulldown, than bb rows. I honestly don't think their is a good replacement for these. Dumbells just don't do it. And i am weening myself off my belt pretty well, but i have to wear it on these or i am just not confortable at all.

Wow, deads plus all the other rows? I rotate deads and rowing days, and agree to move the deads further down the workout if you can. I actually like bb rows; I do 'em with an underhand grip, allows me to "sit" into my quads better and stay centered over my knees/feet rather than overhand and feeling as though I'm being pulled forward. Use overhand for the other movements (t-bar, low row, etc).
