If quick changes in temprature effectively kill bacteria (why we bake our gear) then why isnt the microwave used by anyone. The rapid change in temp would certainly kill any bacteria in your solution, and it would also be easy to do a bunch of them back to back...or am I missing something here?

some do use the micro wave. scares me cause it would be very easy to cook the batch. in other words burn it. there is a post in here about someone who burned the batch . he posted pics too. let me see if i can find that thread.
