Cascara Sagrada
Frangula purshiana

Parts Used: Bark

Phytochemicals: Aloe-emodin, anthraquinones, barbaloin, beta carotene, casanthranol, chrysophanic acid, chrysaphonol, frangulin, malic acid, myristic acid

Nutrients: Calcium, chromium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, silicon, zinc

Well, this will be a fairly short and simple herb to do. Basically, this herb is good if you are constipated or you wana try to stay regular. I would recommend taking this herb with Psyllium Husk or any other fiber source for maximum efficiency.

Known Uses for Cascara Sagrada:
  • Acts as a colon cleanser and laxative
  • effective for colon disorders
  • effective for constipaton and parasitic infestation

When taken as a tea, it tastes very bitter.
