High testosterone

Hey,

I had low testosterone(320 ng/DL). That's too low, especially considering I'm 18. I was put on a Sustanon(it's the only test available in my country) shoot every 3 weeks. In the first week I felt good, in the second one I was already feeling bad. After a couple months, my doctor ended up putting me one Sustanon 250MG shoot per week. This is the only dosage that made me feel good constantly. I will also start taking Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) in a month or 2 to prevent infertility. I just got my blood tests and my estrogen is very high(90,7 pg/ml). So doctor told me to start taking Anastrozole 0.25MG every other day. I will buy it and start taking it today. My concern here is that my test levels are a bit too high. Total testosterone is 1996 ng/DL and free testosterone is 66,86 ng/DL. Also, my SHBG is 21,3 nmol/L. My doctor said it was alright, but as far as I know it's a little too high. Does anyone knows if it's high and if it could cause me problems in long term? Is there any research about having such high levels for long periods of time?

PS: It's been 4 months since I started testosterone replacement therapy (TRT).

Thanks!

I think its high and when you take Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) it will go higher. I dont know how sustanon acts in comparison to Cyponate or ethanate, but if its kind of the same 250 a week is pretty high. For testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) purposes 200 is usually the highest with 100-150 being the average per week. Personally I would drop down to 200 and see how it goes that alone will lower your estrogen.

BTW, I want to know the risks. Being high simply for being high does not bother me. If the risks are worth it, I will just keep taking 250MG a week.

beyond high estrogen you could get high blood pressure which doesnt seem like an issue at your age, but compound that over decades of use it becomes a huge issue. You could get higher cholesterol/triglicerides. The higher the number and higher test intake I would think would greater your chance at being infertile.

Thanks for the answer! My blood pressure got higher when I started testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), but not that high. It's still good and I monitor it monthly. So, for now, it isn't a problem, specially considering I do a lot of exercise. I test my cholesterol and triglycerides monthly when I get my testosterone levels tested. About infertility, Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) seems to do the trick. Are there any other risks associated with it? If not, I think I will keep this dosage.

High T wouldnt be the issue for killing fertility as the higher dosage. But Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) can help not not a guarentee. And you wouldnt know if you had an issue without doing a test. I would get a sperm analaysis done now and maybe again in 6-12 months to see where you sit. because not having kids now might not be a big deal but 5-10 years down the road it might. Not that testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) will make you sterile, not saying that, is it possible yes, but chances are it will make you less fertile.

Thanks for the answer! Get a sperm analysis is a very good idea. I know that not having kids is not a problem now, but it could be in 15 years. I'm aware I might become sterile, but living the way I was living was not good. That's why I decided to take the risk.

If having high T is only associated with high blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides and become infertile, then I think it's worth keeping this dosage. There's also a liver risk, but since I'm taking alpha lipoic acid, my liver enzymes are normal and I don't think that will change any time soon.

yeah good point on the liver, also think about kidney issues which is rare. Just be mindful of the kid thing I am only 30 and let me tell you it really turns important and can cost you important relationships in the future. Also be careful by outweight feeling better now and taking on things like high pressure, yeah you could feel better but die at 50 from a heart attack,so be sure to think about that.

And kind of what I am saying is and I think most would agree you could take less Test and still feel the same, I wouldnt focus so much on numbers, but also factor in how your feel. Realistically you could drop the t down to 200 which creates less estrogen which means possibly taking less of an estrogen blocker, and in the end your feeling the same, taking less meds and taking less of a risk. I think many will agree taking 250mg plus Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) for an extended time is a little much.

you could try every other week. but i would try to get teste or cyp (you can get all three all over the world, just maybe not from your doc) and dose it 100mg ew give a couple months then go for blood work.

I personally like my hrt at 200mg ew and having it on the higher end of spectrum.
