Hit my 1st vein tonight...why is everything getting so dark and fuzzy?

So I’m nearing 3 weeks into my 3rd cycle (I have a log going if you’re interested in following)...T/EQ...and hit a vein for the 1st time (quad). I know in the medical field aspirating is a thing of the past so with this cycle I have opted to just “stab and go”.
Felt like I handled it pretty well: grabbed the first thing I saw to apply pressure (pillow which in now ruined), broke out into a cold sweat and then passed out...lol. Obviously I didn’t bleed out and there has been no ill effects since it’s been several hours already.
I know this just comes with the territory but, are any of you still aspirating?

Quads are my Go-To Spot.

And YES, I do still Aspirate, but I'm Old School, that's the way that I was taught.

In the Future, look Very Carefully at the area you are going to inject.
Most times you can see the Surface Veins by a slight Discoloration of the Skin................................. JP
P.S.
I do on occasion nick a vein, but I've Never Passed-out.

Where on your Quad did you inject.

The passing out part is just me...I hate to see my own blood...really don’t like needles either. (Could be I’m just a sissy)
As far as pin location: slightly below mid quad, outer portion

I'm very cautious with just quads and can spend 5 minutes feeling and touching, making sure im hitting meaty flesh and no tendons or anything that doesnt feel like a steak.
I do this for a sole reason, it helps avoid me pip....

Still, my glutes bleed like a mofo...Have avoided them for a week now, but today is the day I have to....

@JP, I used to aspirate but more and more, I stopped bother...I can honestly feel when "i should have" aspirated...it gives a sharp burning sensation but goes away quickly, that and soaking a bacteria wipe or two...
Then again... I've read about heroin junkies literally shooting 250mg test straight into veins, multiple times/days.... nothing happen.
Also read studies on people injecting like 40cc air into a veins... Supposedly you get short of breath, trouble breathing but it all transfers to your lungs were it "puffs out".

So...the medical advice to NOT aspirate is both correct from a logical standpoint and a medical one.

The reason that I aspirate is this.

If you Hit a Vein ~ No Problem.
But if you are in an Artery and Inject, it could be a Problem, as Arteries take Blood away from the Heart.

You aren't going to Hit an Artery if you stay on the outside of the Quad.
But the Superficial Femoral Artery runs down the Top of the Quad, again, not likely, unless you are using a Long Needle....... JP

This is my Sweet Spot on the Quad.
2/3rds up from the Outside of the Knee.
1/2 way down from the Top of the Quad (Rectus Femoris) to the Notch at the Vastus Lateralis.

If you take your hand, and feel from the Top of your Quad down along the Outside.
You'll feel an Indent in the Muscle, that's where the 2 Muscles meet.
Now just Split the Difference between there, and the Top of your Thigh................................. JP
P.S.
I use a 25 Gauge x 5/8" Needle or a 1", don't need any Longer than that.

Copy on that. Thanks for the quad map. This is my first cycle pinning quads so it’s still experimental for me. I’m 1” 25g on all my pins but could probably drop to a 5/8 everywhere except glutes. Definitely gonna look a little closer next time, or may aspirate my quads. Really not a fan getting all pale and sweaty...lol.

I'd need to read the study of 40cc of air into a vein and nothing happening. That's a huge volume of air and air acts completely different under pressure, and in a hydraulic system than a fluid. Air embolisms are from bubbles. 40cc could completely empty an entire vein. That into your heart at once . . . . I don't know. Mess around and loose our prime in our motor and have a heart attack.

other than that I don't think aspiration is a do or die thing. I don't think having the carrier oil in your vein is healthy but heroin is cut with all types of crap. Heroin junkies show it doesn't have to be surgery and there isn't huge risks. Blowing out a vein would suck. Infection is still a risk, abscess is still a risk. But really it isn't all that dangerous.

I accidentally went straight through a being on my stomach doing sub-q TRT. Damn needle hole just kept seeping blood. looked in the mirror and a very faint blue line crosses it.

This was me watching youtube lol... But I googled and this one stuck out (skip the dog part and read humans)
It seems dependent more on where you inject. But they're talking 250-300 ml air.
Didnt understand half the medical shit so it might actually prove youtube wrong ;)

Volume of Air in a Lethal Venous Air Embolism | Anesthesiology | ASA Publications

WHOA!! That's is a huge volume of air and the study said it was a patient with heart problems!!

I didn't think an amount trapped in a AAS pin would be troublesome but I figured 40cc could cause issues of some sort. The air compressing and expanding inside the heart and causing lower blood flow and then problems with blood supply to the brain.

Thanks for the reference! Hit you with some rep.
