you have to burn 3500 calories to lose a pound of fat..

how many calories do you have to consume to gain a pound of muscle?

i've never heard anyone ask this before.. hopefully one of you knows..

I don't know if this is correct of not, but a search with google brings up sites that claim 1 pound of muscle only contains 100 grams of protein (which is 400 calories or so) and that 72% is just water. And then there are things like ATP I think.

But I don't really know. I focus more on the experience of others to maximize muscle gains (surplus of calories, proper training, proper rest, ...)

No one will be able to answer this question for you, as there is no "answer"

You will have to experiment with your own body, and unless you are monitoring yourself with bodyfat tests there is no way to know if you gained 1 pound of muscle or if you just have an extra pound of water in you from one day to the next.
