HOW MANY SETS ? & NERVE SYSTEM ?

I have been working out well over 20 years. Using medications to aid this for the last 4. My question is how many sets ? The demands have to be different because I can take WAY HARDER training becuase of the medications. And how about doing one set of lower weight on top of the other ? The No Bull Web Site says these kind of sets to failure put more strain on the central nervious system than the muscles and the CNS takes longer to recover than the muscle system. It asserts this is a waste of training and that's one resource I can't afford to waste !

I have been doing six to eight sets to failure after two serious warm up sets. THANKS !

I think it's too much! You gotta really learn you body though. The hell w/ all the magazines that have their routines in there. Most normal people can't take all that work load. I would drop to max 4 sets and see how you do. I do one core exercise(5x5)squats, bench ect., and then 2 other ones like leg extensions or flyes 8-10reps! This works for me but you may need more stimulation. Just gotta play w/ it.
