with my protein, one serving is 20g. if i put 40g in one serving am i wasting the other 20. can the body take the much in without wasting it.
LOL for a junior BB u dont know Jack. Yes ur body can metabolise that 40 grams the protein is only wasted if ur not exercising
The question is a valid one but i dont think any of us really know the answer. Some publications out there claim 40g is the max that should be consumed becuse any more than that will either pass thru the digestive system (wasted) or stored as fat.
I know 20g is probably on the low side per meal but whats the high side? i dont think anyone knows for sure. It will vary person to person but i would figure the macros required for your daily consumption. Then divide it by 6. If you vary a few grams here or there its not the end of the world but eating 100g of protein is most certainly a waste.
BTW: I try to consume about 45-50g of protein per meal.
Ive heard 40 grams is about the limit. I get about 40 or more grams from whole food sources and use three scoops of MAP for protein shakes ( 30g ).
i like map also for PostWO but other then that whey all the way
map is the only protein i use.....morning, prewo and postwo.....the rest is all whole food...i hate shakes really, unless the are laced with peanut butter and frozen fruit
i get 40g per meal, unless you are huge (250lb+) i dont see the point in more unless you want to be on the toilet all day
from what i heard it was 40-60g per 2hrs
also the rule of 1g per lb isnt an exact science either
