So precooked bacon... 2 strips (66grams) is 270calories and 27grams of fat
But once cooked its only 20grams, i weighed the fat that sweat out of the bacon onto the pan an it only weighed 12grams (and that was actually 4strips).. Is the rest just water that evaporated out??! So since i had 4 strips (540calories) minus 12grs of fat (108calories), would that mean i still had 432calories? The confusing part about that is it only weighs 40grams, even if it was 100% fat it wouldnt equal to 432caloroes, is the nutrition chart wrotten on the bacon wrong or what cause this makes no sense

I get Farmland brand bacon and it doesn't have anywhere close to that many calories. How thick is that bacon you are getting? I just checked and a whole package of Farmland Bacon is 800 calories.

All food weighs less after cooking it (unless it absorbs oil). A lot of the water stored in food is converted to steam during the cooking process.

Does it say if the nutrition facts account for it as cooked? Oscar Meyer bacon says (2 cooked strips- 22g) etc etc. I weigh it after I cook it

I'm still pretty much following the diet 3j set up for me from a year or so ago.. Bacon is not on the approved food list , has a horrible protein ratio . If you like meats for breakfast, like I do, ground buffalo would be a far better choice .
Just my 2 pennies

This isnt answering your question as I dont measure, I just eat. But, you know whats deadly for breakfast? Scrambled some eggs, mix in fried up, crumbled up bacon and rice to it. Mix it all up together so its warm. Salt and pepper to taste.

I usually do 1 cup egg whites plus two whole eggs cooked in olive oil
5 strips of cooked bacon
1.5 cups of rice
Sea salt and pepper.

Not part of the ol cutting diet though Id say lol.

Damn.. I might have to give up on the whole 3j not having bacon in my meal plan thing,, And splurge on some damn bacon!!

I've heard that men think about bacon as many times in a day as they do sex.

Hash browns in place of rice sounds better.

Two slices won't cause too much harm.

Geez, I thought I was anal about counting calories and macros. I'm going to have to guess and state that you're eating something that's not really bacon as those are HUGE slices, and the calories to fat/protein seems really off. Is this sweetened in syrup or something by chance? If so, the extra calories are likely carbs.

I will help you out though and make it really easy. You weigh UNCOOKED portions and just go by that. You can't possibly capture every bit of fat and weigh it as some is literally burned away into smoke, some water in the meat is evaporated, and sugars are caramelized/cooked into more dense forms. Are you possibly eating less calories than the label states? Sure. But I don't really think that the 75 or so calories will truly matter in the grand scheme of things.

Or.....

Have sex WITH bacon?! :wiggle:
