How TRT Effects Weight Loss OR Gain?

I'm 34 yrs old, 5'09" at 195lbs. I never want to gain mass but would like to decrease about 8 or 12 pounds and get ripped. I think I've already increased a little pounds which is what I don't want while on TRT. Any advise for me?

For starters, your scale tells you nothing about your general state of physiology. Muscle weighs 1.5 times more than fat, so if you're gaining weight while on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) - you're building muscle mass most likely, which is a good thing. Second, depending on how long you have had low testosterone, you will have built up a measure of adipose fat around your midsection. This is directly caused by having low testosterone, and will slowly start to decrease as the hormone does its thing.

Getting ripped is more about diet and training than anything. If that's your goal, I recommend you head over to the diet section and see what you can learn. If you decide that you want to go an extra step, you can always contact 3J (he's the moderator of the diet section) and inquire about his nutrition services. He is without a doubt able to fix any diet and get you on the right track.

My .02c :)

halfwit is spot on. It's not about testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), it's all about your diet. Carbs and insulin specifically.

it's like anything else - eat like crap and don't train, you'll turn into a high T tub. increase your t, eat well, and lift.
