Ok so I get my gear and Im all excited to do it but there is one problem. As soon as I take the needle out to inject myself I cant...I get a huge panic attack and start to breathe really heavy and cold sweats. Even tried to get a friend to do it for me but it wasnt happening. When I got my blood test before I fainted so this is a full blown phobia not just discomfort. Closing my eyes and just taking it like a man would probably make me faint again because all the same symptoms as the first time were there.
How to cure it
1. Become familiar with needles. Play around with them. You dont have to stick yourself just move the plunger. Take the cap off and look at it. Do this for however long it takes for u to not feel fear.
2. Rub the needle with the pin on your skin. Start with just the side then work your way up to the top where the pointy part is and get a slight scratch but you dont have to stick it in yet. Keep doing this for however long it takes for you to not feel fear anymore.
3. When you are rubbing with the top, stick it in just a little and take it back out. Its nothing more than a pinch.
4. Alcohol swab the injection place and stick an empty needle in all the way. Keep it there for 30 seconds if you can.
5. Eventually you will be able to do a full shot of gear without any fear at all.

This might take longer for some than others. Took me about a week.

I get needle phobia damn near every time I do a shot. I have come close to passing out before giving my self shots. If I start to get a panic attack while Im injecting I usually just stop for a moment. And I think to myself that if I don't calm down im going to pass out with a needle lodged in my leg and who knows what happens after that. If I really start to panic about it some times I will do it the next day when I feel better. Lol I don't recommend that. But at the same time some days it just really bothered me for no good reason and I really didn't want to do it.

The only thing that really helps me if for some reason injecting is making me feel like having a panic attack. Is putting body building tribute video's on. I like to watch the old 90's bodybuilders video's than I remember why im injecting the stuff in the first place and it pumps me up to do it.

This exact thing helped me tremendously. I also starting piercing when I was like 17, but I had to practice on myself. Back then I would watch videos of heavily trapped and pierced dudes. Watching videos of whatever you're in it for, regardless of what it is, well help get that motivation to power through. Some real hard metal always got me pumped to. When it's done you'll look at it and think, "was that it?".

Injecting didn't bother me to much in the middle of my cycle. But the beginning and end always starts to get to me. At the end of a cycle some times I just start to get very unmotivated. Lol all my gains have already happen and I cant get any bigger. It is basically just all maintenance at that point and it makes me not really want to work out as much. Because I see no changes. So it makes pinning turn into a chore.

Just the needle itself. It looks so bad and scary for some reason. I'm not scared of the pain because I've felt worse pain by far but just the look abd the feel I would say scare me.

Have you thought of going to a psychologist for help with getting over this? At least a few sessions could be helpful in getting you started.

im not usually the type to go to phycologists over a silly fear. It was my problem so I thought I can get myself to cure it. And I did. Took me a week but well worth it.
