How to Sterilize Stoppers

It's easy to sterilize vials but what is the best way to sterilize stoppers? Dry heat sterilization seems like the obvious choice but would the prolonged high heat damage the rubber?

I just soak the suckers in methanol or isopropyl and let them air dry, wash em first too.

I have been having a prob with that in which the stopper leaves alot of residue in the neck of the vial, and it gets the stopper all gooey and shit. Anyway to fix that?

make sure they are dry.

when you baking how far is the top of the vials from the top of the oven? what temp also? is it calibrated?

plus as tjhose stoppers get some age on themn they start to deteriate.

its prolly the age thing. i just need to buy some more. thanks JP

I use the toilet bowl with a strainer. Works well. Try it some day. ;-)
