If your overweight do you still have a bulking diet like some normal guy would? I'm not a fat guy by any means, but I do have a little layer fat all around me. Wouldn't the fat from me be the fuel needed to make muscle? Please clarify somebody.

no, the fat thats already stored on your body will not contribute to muscle growth.

if you plan on gaining any more muscular weight, fat will come along with it.

thats why if you train for appearance reasons, and dont plan on dieting down with DNP or t3 and test or another strong drug, you should get to a bodyfat your comfortable with, then start to bulk so youre always a month or two away from that comfortable bodyfat. 10-12% is said to be a good number.

Sounds good. I don't take in crazy amounts of calories...probably 2500 a day, but lots of it is protein, either by meats or shakes. I'm not looking to get really big...i don't have the time too. I'm looking for that vanity body with a little more heat.

if thats the case, then cut down to a bodyfat youre happy with, then slightly up your calories so you slowly gain weight...maybe in the neighborhood of a pound every two weeks. If youre gaining too fast, 5 pounds a week for example, the majority of that is going to be fat. Keep the gains small and you can have a "vanity body" as you put it, and still make noticeable size/strength gains.

i just took some before pics and the after pics in late june. We'll see how the improvements go. Been hitting the gym 3 times a week with at least one day of cardio.
