In a tough situation, help is appreciated...

Hello everyone,
I am 24 and have been on prescribed testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) since last May, and also did my own thing running a Test E/Anavar cycle for 12 weeks, from the beginning of December until the end of February.
The cycle itself first triggered hairloss (Male Pattern Baldness), however I now believe that testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is leading to prolonged continuation (or at least accelerating the process).
No matter how little testosterone I inject these days I have a spike in hairloss a day or two after the shot.
Yes, I made a mistake, and was aware of the potential side effects of AAS but still didn't think the loss would continue like this well after the cycle.

I now desperately want to get off the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) because of my hair.
Unfortunately I never ran Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) with my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) nor did I do any PCT after my cycle since (when planning) I had assumed I'd be on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for life and testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) never caused hairloss on it's own prior.
I desperately need to see my endocrinologist but don’t have an appointment with him until the very end of May. I really don’t want to wait this long.

A few specifics:
- I am secondary hypogonadism
- I had no history of AAS use prior to testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) despite being quite young
- My test levels averaged around 300 ng/dl or so before testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) last May
- I started on 75 mg. every 10 days until July, levels didn’t go up much, after that I was put on 150 mg. every 10 days (injection), highest levels I ever saw on this dose were 481 ng/dl.
- I ran 500 mg of Test E with Anavar (40 mg) for the first half during the course of my cycle this winter (December/January/February), levels went up to 2000 ng/dl
- I also ran Adex which I have continued at a lower dose (E2 was naturally high normal)
- I have been tapering down testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and doing my own thing for the last few shots, am now feeling like hell. I am crashing the longer I prolong each shot.

I realize that things look really bad at this point and was hoping to hear the opinions of some of the more experienced members.
Am I likely to be destined to be losing hair at a rapid rate through testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) forever now??
How would you recommend going off in my case??? Is it perhaps possible that my levels will bounce back anywhere close to their previous (slightly low) levels prior to all this??

Help would be GREATLY appreciated. I am feeling very hopeless about the situation and am stressed out of my mind right now.
Thanks in advance.

IMO if your loseing your hair that fast at a legit testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) dose then you were going to lose the hair anyway.when testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is run correctly it is dosed to replace natural test and keep test levels in a normal range so imo it wouldnt matter if it was your natural test makeing it fall out or testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) test thats doing it.

if you arent able to recover your natural test levels to a normal level then the side effects of that will be much worse than hair loss.

When I first started about 12 weeks ago, I did 200 mg shots every other week. My hair would start falling out. After 3 of these shots, I started self injecting and my hair is not falling out as fast, in fact its not noticable now.

I actually do 180mg every six days now, it keeps me from crashing, since I had major issues with crashing from every other week injections.

I also was told by my doctor that having my test level at 487 was great, and to continue doing what I was doing, on the 200mg every other week.

My doctor also would not consider hcg, or arimidex.

I would like to point out that when you go off test, your levels will almost certainly be lower than they were when you started, try working with your doctor to get together a post cycle therapy (pct), otherwise you will lose muscle and feel bad for a long time.

I would like to increase my dosage and I am seeing a hormone specialist that can tell me what is a good dosage for me. I like my dick to work, so the hair thing isn't such an issue. I also look good bald in a kill you scary way.

My life was a low grade hell for the past couple of years with low t, I am 35 and I felt like my life was over.

One unintended side effect of being on testosterone is I make more money, the difference is about a thousand a month, seriously! There is a reason women make 30 percent less than men, and it may have to do with testosterone.

Thanks for your replies guys.
It was a 12 week cycle and ended 6-7 weeks ago.
I’m on Finasteride. Had started minoxidil as well but had to stop from an inflamed/itchy scalp. My fingers are crossed.

While trying to minimize hairloss and decide what my next step should be I’ve spent quite a bit of time researching/wondering about this. Does exogenous testosterone in itself cause more hairloss than natural test or is testosterone just teststerone in the end???
I have talked to guys convinced that the same amount of exogenous t has been more harmful than natural test or similar levels aided with a SERM.
There are also threads and threads of guys who start testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and notice they go bald quicker, though in lots of these cases it could well be just because they are adding more T.
What bothers me is each time after I shoot any amount of test it seems I lose a ton of hair, the following days, doesn’t matter if it’s 150 mg. or 50 mg.

Yeah, I have been taking a shot every 7 days and hairloss, right after the shot especially, is still a problem. Perhaps I will try reducing that down to 5 days.
Though my family doc says it’s the endo who deals with testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), he was willing to switch me to a patch for more stable levels. I’m not keen on this as I’ve heard that transdermal delivery makes for proportionately higher conversion to DHT.

When I originally asked my endo if I could ever come off therapy, get my boys working again and have kids, he said, I’m young so he doesn’t see why not (he wasn’t taking into account the cycle mind you). At the same time he said he’s against Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) altogether. This sort of worries me and really leaves me wondering what his plan might be.
PCT without Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) after nearly a year on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and a cycle?!?!
I don’t know how good my chances would be of recovery.

My appointment’s also 5 weeks away and I’m not a very patient man when I’m losing hair rapidly. I have nolvadex and Arimidex on hand and can get hooked up with some Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) pretty quickly if it comes to that.

I look fucking retarded with a shaved head or I wouldn’t be freaking out so much.

kind of a shitty situation...keep your hair or have low test and feel like shit.

Id probably just stay on the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and add finasteride like was said.
