Intro and question about "addiction"

Hello all,

I've been reading for a while and though I'm familiar with the important stickies I have to ask, what is a good first cycle where do I get it?

Kidding, kidding!

I don't know if my stats are necessary but just in case:

43
5' 10"
175
8-10% bf
I've been training on and off since I was a teenager (without making you do math, that's a lot of years). More seriously over the past few years.

I have the cycle details pretty much worked out (T), but I'm curious about one thing. I plan on running one cycle only. I'm looking for a little "bump". If I keep half of the gains I would be happy.

How difficult is it to stick to "one and done"? I don't want to be forever chasing something and endlessly tinkering with cycles. Overall, I'm happy with my physique. I consider myself a little on the skinny side but I do have an athletic shape and a six pack without extreme dieting. If I could get a little sustainable gain and then build on that without any future cycles I'd be very happy (I'm not asking for too much, right).

To make it easier since I ramble sometimes:

1. Is it even possible to maintain some gains without running more than one cycle?
If the answer is "no" then the everything else is moot

2. After experiencing gains, (and losing some) will it be difficult to stop with one cycle?
I already know I'll want to do more and I'll have my post carefully planned since I'm prone to depression and I really want to stick to one.

Thanks!

The answer is yes to both. U can keep "most" of what u gain with proper training and diet. U can and most likely will get a little water retention. Second gear is not like lets say meth. U will not get a chemical dependancy. Thr only addiction comes from the looks and feeling u get. So there is a cosmetic addiction possible but not a chemical addiction .

Well here's the deal, why do you want to to AAS? What are your goals? Your ideal body?

A lot of times, people will want to pinn up, but most of the time they're far from their natural potential as well as their ideal body is reachable naturally.

To answer your questions though, is it possible maintain your gains. It really depends on what you do afterwards. You will put on tons of muscle, but remember that you just increased 10-20 lbs in a few months (depending on your cycle). You're to need to eat to maintain that body as well as lift constantly to maintain that body. Does that make sense? And eventually down the road, with age you will obviously lose muscle and etc. But that's the basic jist of it.

As for stopping after one cycle, eh...cycling isn't that kind of lifestyle imo, but, it really is dependent upon the person.

My ideal body is my body, only bigger. I'm happy with the general makeup/shape of my body but I'm on the small side. Just to give you an idea, my wrist is a little over 7 inches. Without training I'd weigh no more than 160 and that's pushing it. I'm currently 175-177 ish (and looking at me, you'd think it was less)

I'm not looking for quick fix. I train very hard and I don't miss workouts. I sleep, recover and eat properly and not for any other reason than that's the way I do things. Meaning, I'm not doing anything that I consider a sacrifice. That's just the way I live. ie, if I wasn't training I wouldn't be slamming beer and wings so I don't feel like I'm "on a diet" or "in training". I burn clean anyway.

If I could hang on to 10-15 pounds of quality gains I'd be very happy.
