Is BW the same as "water for injection" ?

It seems in Europe nobody uses the term "BW" and every single ampoule says "water for injection".
Is it the same ?

It serves the same purpose for injection. BW is simply sterile water with usually 1% BA to act as an antimicrobial. This way you can buy multidose vials of BW and not worry about sterility.

Thanks DougoeFre5h.
And "water for injection" is what ? Saline ?

in Europe drugs rarely come in multidose vials.Only in one use ampoules.Different chemicals used.

i beleive WFI is just filtered and heat sterilized water. bac water is distilled, filtered and ba added at 1% as a presrvative.
