Is it OK to ask about UG Labs - not sources, labs/brands?

I don't make the rules, but I've been around here awhile (as you have been).

From what I gather, it is ok to a certain extent. Admin/Mods get a bit uneasy when 'newcomers' come here suspiciously posting about various UGL's. These 'ulterior motive' posts are the ones that get deleted/locked.
