Is ok to have potatoes pan cooked in olive oil (since olive oil is good)?

You'll get different opinions on this, but personally I don't like mixing fats w/ carbs, so I would use PAM spray instead. But ultimately it is up to you

This is my opinion also. If you are dieting, then this is in your best interest. Try to keep your carbs early in the day and your fats later in the day.

While i don't necessarly mind combing fats and carbs it really sometimes comes down to the Amount of each. Will a few grams of fat (10g) example hurt you - absolutely not. If your using 2 - 3 tbsp. to cook your potatos that would become a conflict of interest.

not to hijack.what about frying chicken in olive oil?thats pro/fat right there and shit who dont like fried chicken!

Is the chicken is breaded, then that breading sucks up the fat. Not a good thing in my opinion. Without the breading, I think it might be okay. Meat doesn't seem to really absorb fat. But I've never seen a fat analysis done on breadless chicken fried in oil, so I couldn't say for sure.

I have been told not to pan fry with olive oil, once it turns brown,it can actually become a bad source of fat.

That is not true. It's a commonly spouted myth that is totally false.
