so my gear crashed and i was trying to bring it back, but i forgot to rub the top of the vial with alcohol swab and i put the pin in.....does this mean its not sterile anymore?

there is a possibility dunno if the syringe was sterile at the time of putting it in. if you are going to heat the gear you "should" be fine

Was it a new vial? Had you just popped seal off? Brand new sterile needle? Re-used drawing needle? Has the vial been sitting out with rubber exposed for long period of time?.....

Proper answer would be that it's contaminated.. My answer, it depends on circumstances new needle, new vial, "newer" vial that hadn't been out long if run with it. Now I know that's not the "right" thing to do but that's my opinion not the gospel.

It is sterile. I don't always swab the top of my vials. Don't stress.

I think he is asking because he was touching the rubber stopper and such when he heating the gear to fix the crash, I assume water got on the stopper and possibly other things.
