Keeping Emergency antibiotics

What’s up men? Came here to ask the pros what antibiotics they keep in surplus at the crib for either possible or confirmed infections. I personally keep amoxicillin at the house because it’s easy to get and it’s what I’ve always used since I was in my old unit and Doc gave it out like candy. Thoughts?

depends, if i was on shore leave straight up penicillin, but if i was just around the base amoxilin.
and when in doubt wear a hat.

Zman you are overthinking this. If you use a sterile needle, new one every time, and are injecting oils you won't have a problem.

Honestly, if you are having that many problems that you need to keep Antibiotics in the House ~ 24 and 7.

You are Doing Something Wrong.

Like Tankmanbob mentioned, keep everything Sterile and you won't have any Issues................................. JP
P.S.
I've never had any Infection from Injecting AAS, and I've got Literally Decades of use under my Belt.

Or if it's like Milton is talking about ~ find a Better Class of Lady (lol).

i think you op need to specify what type of infections man. sex with big booty hoochie mamas or gear pinning, which is it?

If you have access to antibiotics then it's great to have them on hand. I have hundreds of 500 mg amoxicillin. My woman gets them from her work. I always tell her to keep getting them. They stay good for years. They will work if you get an abscess.

Never ever take Cipro if you're gonna be working out it can cause a form of necrosis in the tendons. It can cause tendinitis or tendon rupture. There's also a couple other antibiotics that cause the same problem. Amoxicillin does not cause this. I got an infection in my quad last year, I don't know how. I showered and took all the necessary precautions. I cleaned the bottle top with alcohol cleaned the injection spot with alcohol the same way I have for years. Then I pinned and the next day I was at work and my leg hurt real bad and when I got home to shower, the front of leg from just above my knee to the top just below the hip from the inside half way to the outside was bright red starting to swell and super hot. My wife immediately said I was gonna have to start antibiotics immediately. Within a few days it got better. If I hadn't had antibiotics I would've had to try to explain it to my doctor and that's no Bueno. The first and only time in 20 years I ever had that happen and it was definitely kind of nerve racking.

Hey bro great advice I appreciate the guidance mox it is

zpacks work great for cellulitus.

As a rule I try at avoid needing them. Infections are no joke. Even with proper care for clean injection sites I have gotten cellulitus 2 time in the last 10 years.

I keep a wide variety of antibiotics on hand. They are cheap and last a very long time when stored properly. If you think you are smart enough to diagnose what you have and which antibiotic to use then by all means keep a stash.

My dad being an MD kept some all the time. I grew up using them responsibly and with a good diagnosis by my experience or referenced.

Also used with the digression as the tolerances of certain anti biotics is a concern.

anyone else?

Tolerance to antibiotics is a real concern world wide and I would argue it shouldn't just be laying around and taken randomly without a diagnosis.
However I do understand the legal(read insurance) climate in other countries and I guess it makes sense, since we do what we do.

We as people don't build a resistance to antibiotics, it's the bacteria that build up a resistance from people stopping the treatment before the bacteria is dead. So it's important to do the full regiment even if the symptoms are gone.

"wheve taken all kinds of pills for all kinds of thrills", diferent circumstances for when antibiotics should be used, when i was young i would take a basic antibiotic, tretracycline to name one and would take it for any issue that i thought was an infection. but now and i say this for the youth here its getter to know when it should and should not be taken.
