Ketogenic diet for a vegetarian (no eggs, meat or fish)

Could someone advise on a sample ketogenic diet for a vegetarian (no meat, no eggs, no fish, etc.) but not a vegan (can take milk, eat cheese, etc.). I can source the protein from whey protein but what do I eat besides whey? I mean do I need to eat peanut butter / oils throughout? What could be the potential food choices for both fat and protein for me? I know i'll alter the proper gms of these according to my goals of calories (500 below maintenance, etc.) which is maintaining as much muscle as required while cutting / burning the fat..

most protein sources in plants also come with carbs.. so it would be extremely tough to get it from a plant source..

have you considered using cottage cheese and nonfat greek yogurt?

hmmm, I barely know what's ketogenic.. you might want to make use of the charms of Google for that.

as a retired chef I could never understand nor cater to vegetarians, ask any chef worth his salt on this. But if you must go down that road, beans/milk/cheese bro. All said and done the human body needs protein in moderation.

This thread will hurt juced porkchop feelings :)
I know he is a vegetarian and has an impressive physique ..
I myself , cannot be ever a vegetarian ..

HAHAHA No hating or hurt feelings. And thank you very much!! : )
I mean NO offense nor do I think I am "better" than anyone, I just feel like i have a broader view on the value of every life and living thing on this planet and don't give into cultural desensitization of meat/death, nor forget the pain and death associated with it.. its unneeded in this day and age of our civilization. I hate the "well we were meant to be like this" bd excuse .. well.. says who?... I could also say we were meant to be swinging from trees and tossing shit at eachother.... I would like to think we have passed that... anyway that is simply my view.. over time eating meat will be more uncommon IMO

Anyway I am the ONLY one in my BIG family that doesnt eat meat, so I am used to it and don't hate on anyone.. funny I am the most muscular to them and funny I would always be told I will die or end up looking like I have aids if i don't eat meat.... 9+ years later and I am still here ; )
by "meat" i mean , meat, fish, seafood.. they are all "meat" to me.. no interest... at all...

Google : vegetarian bodybuilder
There are many.

OP look into carb cycling for fatloss IMO.

Also what you ask ... welll I am happy to help, but do some foot work, we don't spoon feed. google "low carb vegetables" "low carb vegetarian" things along those lines, then feel free to pm me or ask me what of the bunch I like or what I would do. your question is too vague IMO.
but focus on lots of nuts and whey protein. aswell as high fiber foods and high fat foods like avocados.

I know many chefs that would take offense to that statement actually.... there are many vegetarian restaurants and many chefs that live by this lifestyle aswell. people that do eat meat and are close minded to non-meateaters usually wonder what the heck we eat!? well.... we got it just as good as you, you just never cared to look into it and learn a new way of doing things.
I have brought many friends to places that are meat free and have blown MANY minds and usually get comments like "omg this is soo good, I had no idea there was soomuch options" "wow I think I could be vegetarian" " this is better then eating meat and I feel better too" very often.. and some were the type "f#&k that Ill never eat that crap or a place like that.... LMFAO!
to each his own.... : )

I eat meat, but I try not to eat it as much anymore and eat mostly chicken.
I do have mates that don't eat meat at all. some look ok, others look like they are not too healthy..
I think eating mostly veggies is a way to a better or healthier life. People eat too much meat, atleast that I can agree porkchop! : )
