Knot right after injection?

I've been on trt for over 5 years and never experienced this before?

I did my normal bi weekly shot alternating sides in my upper glute but this time it immediately swelled up and i got a knot the size of a quarter or slightly bigger? Sore if i push on it

I put some ice on it and rubbed it for a little and it seemed to go down but its stil visible just looking at it? Was this just a weird reaction? Anyone experience similar?
(Clean fresh needle, cleaned bottle and glute with alcohol, wasn't an outdated bottle or anything)

You only inject glutes and for 5 years straight? You're asking for scar tissue buildup. I personally like more sites in the rotation for TRT. I do Delts, Quads and Ventroglutes.

Alright I will have to try some new injections sites, I never had any issues or felt like any scar tissue was building up.

What size syringe do you use?

I use a 25g to inject.

You might have gone sub q, and that will always leave a knot for a short time.
