I have been wanting to get my thyroid checked and my test levels as well for a while now. Most labs in my area will only see me if a doctor calls in the orders. Where can I go for a reasonable price to get my lab work done?

Also, what exactly do I need to get checked, what do I need to ask for when they do the testing?
