Large lump at injection

Hi,

Im beginning the 5th week of my test e. cycle and noticed a rather large lump on my glute at the injection. It's been a week so far and the lump is still there. The lump itself is bigger than a golf ball. I've been monitoring the injection site/lump and don't see any signs of redness, hotness or itchiness. I just get pain when I apply pressure onto it or when I turn to the side when sleeping. The lump isn't soft/puffy....feels pretty solid. Is this something that I should be worried about that may warrant a visit to doc?

Just add that I do get the odd small lump here and there which seem to disappear after a couple of days but this lump is a lot bigger than the smaller ones I've had and its still pretty lumpy after a week.

Thanks
Broozah

As I was just saying on another similar thread today - that lump is basically the gear you injected and it needs time to get absorbed by the surrounding tissue. Give it more time. As long as it doesn't get infected and turn into a cyst, you should be fine. If it turns into a cyst, then it will need to get surgically removed. Don't pin anywhere near the lump until it completely dissolves. And for future reference, alternate your pin sites more often or break down the injectable volume between two syringes and pin two sites instead of one. And never pin the same spot if a lump from the previous hit is still there.

I have had those a few times in the past and I would use a heating pad and get my girlfriend to grind her elbow on the lump and it would eventually go away. May not be the best advice but it has worked for me.

bro the same thing happened to me on the 5th injection!! i totally know what you're going through ! i can't sleep on my back or my right side! errr
ill try injecting slower next time and maybe heat the oil in the syringe.

Thanks for the feedback

@powerball
I pin twice a week (monday & thursday) 250mg each time and have been alternating pin sites (left and right glute). I also take my time when injecting and also wait a good minute or so before taking the syringe out. Should I give it another 3 days or so or will it take longer? Its been a week today and the bugger is still there.

How long did it take you guys for it to heal?

I still have the big lump since friday.. it got smaller but still hurts when i sit down or lie on my back/right side. do you think a cream like bengay might help? it did help when my quad was sore from injecting.

Actually, what jonesfarm suggested above would help also. I don't really recommend grinding an elbow on the lump, but a mild rub with a palm of your hand or a massage a few times a day is a good idea. That will increase the blood flow to the area and help dissolve the lump. Applying a heat patch or a bottle with hot water will also benefit, for the same reasons. Just make sure you wrap the bottle in a blanket not to burn yourself, it should be very warm, not scorching hot. Finally, if you absolutely have to hit the same glute where you have the lump, make sure you pin 2-3 inches away from it. You don't want to make it bigger/worse. Good luck.

so heat is a good thing in this case? i thought about putting some ice on the spot to reduce swelling. but if heat is good ill use my cream it makes the area nice and hot(its a cream for muscle cramps and its amazing) and ill massage it..

Typically, you need ice for swelling only right after an injury to stop the hematoma (bruising). But after a while you will actually benefit from a heat source, because it increases the circulation and helps the surrounding tissue to get rid of whatever is causing the swelling. In your case it's gear that for some reason isn't absorbing well enough.
