Lat pull down

That's what I thought too, but this morning I did a couple of reps behind the head just to see how it compared to in front and I felt a better pinch.
 
wide grip pull up beats anything, I do 50 pull ups it gives me the v shape.

I always warm up on my back days with 2 or 3 sets of 10 pullups;I'll never stop doing them.. but they never gave me the growth finishing off with false gripped-high-rep lat pulldowns with a squeeze and the contraction to the front.. I swear that made me grow wings.

How long did it take you to work up to 50?
 
Damn that's fast.

about a month to work up to 50 reps, pull ups works better for me thou lol,

I think I could do it but I don't like the idea of sacrificing other lifts/pulls to focus on endurance like that..
but gjdm.
