Leaning up

do you guys agree intense workout, cardio and eating lots of clean food will lean you out better than dieting?

i'm not really sure, i don't even know if there's even an explanation to it but with based on what i've experienced, the more i eat that more i raise my metabolism, if i keep on doing this together with an intense workout, i tend to lose weight and lean up than get bulky, especially if i add cardio to the program.

i think you are right. i tried dieting with too low of calories and i didnt get much leaner but now i upped my calories still with clean diet food, but im adding lean mass and strength, no cardio though, but im sure if i added it in, i would be leaning out, slow but at least i would. at least im not adding any fat whatsoever. its very dependant on the diet. the right carbs at the right time, with the right amount of fats for you.

i agree, if i go low on cals, i get flat and smaller. i keep my food clean, eat when my body tells my to and keep an eye on what time and what type of carbs i take in. thats about it, if you stick to that and loose it slowly you'll end up fuller and harder than if you hit a hard core diet imo.

A.) Clean up diet
B.) Gradually increase cardio (Start small and increase by small increments)
C.) Add a fat burner (Start small and increase)

You'll hold on to a lot more mass by going this route-

before when i used to diet like crazy, i found out that i was flabby and soft instead of dry and hard and when i started eating 'coz i was really starving and my head started to hurt like crazy the following day would feel like i woke up in arnold's body preped up for a competition :)

Your either flabby and soft or hard and lean -

Whats happening is your eating more carbs and your body is storing them in the muscle. Thus giving you that full apperance.

I'm going to guess when you diet your droping your carbs way down (ie low blood sugar/ headache) when you do this your body drops water as glycogen and water are stored together.

Gradually drop kcals, and up your cardio. Don't go and drop your carbs like you have been doing.
