I'm a little late starting this since I'm actually starting my 3rd week of this cycle, but I figured I'd post it up in case anyone was interested and to keep me motivated.
Stats at start were:
43 years old
150 lbs
5' 10"
No idea on body fat, but I'm pretty lean
Cycle: 12 weeks of 600mg test / 400mg deca per week, split for tuesday and friday injections.
No PCT because I am on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and will return to my regular test dose after
I'm sure there will be lots of guys who will tell me I am too small to be cycling, but I have been working out for years (mostly MMA cardio heavy stuff) and have had a tremendously hard time putting on weight. With some serious eating and lifting I was able to go from 130 to 150, but have stalled here for a while.
I have loads of old injuries from years of martial arts, and several car accidents so I'm also hoping the addition of the Deca will keep my joints and tendons at least quasi-happy.
I have posted up for 3J's advice on diet and am logging my food to stay above 3200 calories a day and as close to a 40/40/20 split as possible.
Originally I was going to do a 5X5 program, but at the last minute decided to go with the Westside for skinny bastards instead.
To recap so far: first week I did great with diet and saw a weight increase of 10 lbs (mostly water, I'm sure even though I am not looking or feeling bloated). Lifts were fine as I was familiarizing myself with the program. Energy and libido were fine.
Second week started well, but diet went all to hell for thursday - sunday. Wound up losing some weight and am now 155. Lifts felt very good though. I think even the lessened water weight was helping me feel stronger.
Up to current now: energy is so-so, libido is also so-so. I have tried very light deca added to my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and it wasn't so hot on the sex drive, so I think I am running into that again.
Breakfast was oatmeal with 3 egg whites.
Pre-wrokout had 1 scoop of whey
post workout was OJ with another scoop of whey.
PWO meal (1 hour after) multigrain waffle, with an egg.
Lunch: chicken breast with brown rice
Snack: peanut butter sandwich on whole wheat
one serving of up your mass
plan on for later:
another chicken breast with salad as afternoon snack
korean beef with rice and a salad for dinner
cassein before bed
Workout:
flat bench 3x8, 1x5, 1x3
bent row 4x10
decline barbell bench press 3x12
face pulls 2x15
weighted roman chair 4x15
Workout felt good, but benching still tweaks my shoulder a bit, am thinking of switching to floor presses to see if it helps.
Any comments, input and suggestions would be welcomed!
