Low Testosterone and low sex drive.. A myth?

Hello everyone..
I came through this article and wanted to share with you guys..
The article says that the low T (as we age) doesn't have an impact on the libido and that that a 15% - 150% TT variation didn't mean a lot for sex drive while for sure it had an impact on the lbm.
The other thing that I understood from the study is that aggression / having sex will increase testosterone , not the other way round meaning that there is no evidence that low T will kill your libido.
I, from my own limited experience, didn't experience a change on my sex drive at 500 mg test cycles , and for sure never looked at my Test cycles as a sexual performance enhancer, still we all get screwed up on pct.
A part of me wants to believe in this study but something seems wrong..
Here is the study:
Vitamin T for Sex

Some inputs from you guys are highly appreciated.

High T and still no libido

I can only share my experience in that I had low T and low to no libido, so when I started HRT, I had high hopes of getting my libido back. Well, for me anyway, HRT has been no help whatsoever. And yes, my E2 is in range and my Thyroid levels are fine. I am 49 years old and I see on several other forums where HRT was not always helpful for libido as well. "Get some Cialis/Viagra and you'll be fine" is the general advice. (Even though those are ED drugs and libido is not the same as ED) Just my 2 cents...

The study states that if u are under the healthy levels u ll experience ED problems and weak sex drive.
The only thing that got my attention was that there was no difference in sex drive between 15-150% within the healthy levels..
Once u go lower than that, it's another story.

Newtohrt. Your sex drive could still be low because your dht levels are tanked. Get those checked. Dhea as well. I've read that both are pretty important for your sex drive!

I believe the libido boosting properties of testosterone are linked to dopaminergic activity in the human body. I could believe it.

Nothing is better than having a nice, healthy libido. It's one of my favorite ways to gauge my health. Newhort, you can look into DHT. It's more biologically active in the brain from what i know. It's more "manly" than testosterone. Look up kleinfelters(sp?) Syndrome. Its a 5 alpha reductase deficiency. The enzyme that converts testosterone to DHT. They lack male characteristics like body hair, penis growth, interest in the opposite sex, etc. Very fascinating

Sorry to be replying so late to this...been busy. My last DHT test put me at 72 on a scale of 20-85, so I am not dramatically low, however, on another forum I have read that a lot of guys do not really feel like they have their old libido back until they get to levels of 90-110. Up until I turned 40 I had a very strong libido - almost annoying at times - so I definitely notice the difference. Now that I am 49 I don't expect my libido to be what it was when I was in my 20s and 30s, but I also did not/do not expect it to be totally gone like it has been on HRT.

My DHEA is in the upper quartile on every test as I supplement with DHEA daily. I never feel any difference whatsoever when I stop DHEA for a month or two before starting it again, though. Same with HCG...I know a lot of guys say they have a lot stronger libido with vs without HCG, but as with everything else HRT - I feel no difference whatsoever. I know everyone's body chemistry is different so I am not doubting that it works for a lot of guys...just, sadly, not for me.
