Hi everyone,

First of all i'm 28 years old ! Have been lifting serious for 3 years now my stats are currently 5'10 185lbs ! Here is my story and i would appreciate if you guys would put in some of your time and give your insights based on your experience !
Last September I injected 150 mg of Test E (made a mistake and didn't do blood work) per week for 3 months ending in December solely for the purpose of putting some mass because it seemed like no matter how hard I lift or how perfect my diet It would be almost impossible to put on some decent mass ! so by the end of the cycle I was 197 lbs from 179 lbs . Anyway after that comes end of January when I started feeling symptoms like no sex drive at all, very weak, sleeping was bad and I was getting Irritated easily and decided to take a blood test at my doctor's office at 10 am and the results were as follows :

Test, Serum 194 ng/dL range : 348-1197 ng/dL

Free Test 5.1 pg/mL range : 9.3-26.5 pg/mL

TSH 4.080 uIU/mL range : 0.450-4.500 uIU/mL
LH 2.4 mIU/mL range : 1.7-8.6 mIU/mL
FSH 1.6 mIU/mL range: 1.5-12.4 mIU/mL

Prolactin 23.1 ng/mL range : 4.0-15.2 ng/mL

So the doctor was concerned mainly about the prolactin and said there is the possibility of a tumor in the pituitary gland causing it to produce high prolactin that would suppress the testosterone levels making them very low and asked me to do a second blood work to check the test levels and prolactin level which I did about 2-3 weeks after and Testosterone, serum was 404 ng/dL and prolactin was 22.6 ng/mL so he sit me up with an endocrinologist and asked me to get an MRI in the meantime

My MRI showed a 3 mm shadow in the pituitary gland which my doctor thought it was prolactinoma but told me to double check with the endocrinologist
So today I had my appointment with the endocrinologist who told me that my symptoms say there is a problem with my thyroid and he wants to put me on synthroid for 2 months and then will do blood work and see what my test and prolactin levels are !

What do you guys think of all this based on any experience you had or someone you know ?? I would really appreciate all the help possible

Thank you

Wow, I actually give props to your medical team. Most guys I know seeing a doc don't have that extensive of an investigation! It looks like they're treating one thing at a time and hoping that it will cascade into fixing your HPTA. I've not really seen any cases where hypothyroidism treatment fixes hypogonadism, but I am an average Joe so take that for what it's worth. :) Stick with it, hopefully they get you all sorted out!

My .02c :)

you need a full thyroid panel, with antibodies :) If you do thyroid you gotta do saliva cortisol and DHEA - S blood. Getting on thyroid med without fixing possible adrenal insufficiency can have some serious negative effects.

Hope this helps

BTW I doubt you have tuma, usually when that is the case PRL would be in hundreds. Worth it to get the MRI to make sure though since it is high.

I almost wish I were you. Free test cyp and t3 as well as prolactin agonists covered by your insurance company... beauty!! :P

But seriously, hope they get you sorted out bud. Seems like your in good hands.

Thanks for the information buddy I will bring that up to my endo when I call him and see what he thinks

Thanks guys for your responses .. I do think i'm in good hands and hopefully get to a solution and find the exact problem but I'm still wondering if the Test E injections I had for three months has anything to do with all this
