Low Testosterone levels for prolonge periods of time?

The Man with the Plan
I was just watching a video of Flex Wheeler talking about his low Testosterone levels after he stopped competing, (they went down to 79)and I begin to wonder how much testosterone does the heart need to function and the effects on health and organs when extreme crashes occur and remains at low levels for prolong periods of time.

There's really no given number, as it's going to be different from individual to individual. My personal experience is that I suffered permanent metabolic damage and became a diabetic from having testosterone levels around 120ng/dL over the course of a decade. There are quite a few studies showing that ultimately death will occur, but of course - the given values vary pretty widely.

It took me a very long time to learn about hypogonadism, and it was something that I knew was wrong with me, but the dozen doctors over that time frame never ventured into checking hormones until I had been reading up on them and was able to suggest a test.

This is ultimately why I am very open about discussing TRT and the fact that I'm on it. While my root cause was from long-term opiate use/abuse, I can totally see guys that dabbled in PH/AAS in the 90's or earlier being blind sided much like I was. Just have to keep spreading the word that it IS treatable, and there's NO reason to live that way.

My .02c :)

wow, thanks for sharing with us brother, your always a great source of experience for the younger bucks around here who need all the help they can instead of listening to the loudest and biggest guy in the gym.

Back in high school some idiot was running crazy cycles from sophomore year to senior year non-stop. His doctor told him to come off cold turkey or he would have serious health problems. The kid listened but ran no pct. He ended up getting fat as shit senior year and collapsed one day due to complications from hypogonadism. Not sure exactly what triggered the collapse but his testicles were basically non-existent when they examined him.
